The Pitiful Prufrock of The Love Song of J. Alfred...
The Pitiful Prufrock of The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock T.S. Elliots The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock, is a melancholy poem of one mans frustrated search to find the meaning of his existence. The speakers strong use of imagery contributes to the poems theme of communion and loneliness. The Poem begins with an invitation from Prufrock to follow him through his self-examination. The imagery of this invitation begins with a startling simile, Let us go then you and I/ When the evening is spread out against the sky/ Like a patient etherised upon a table. This simile literally describes the evening sky, but functions on another level. Prufrock moves his attention from the city to his final destination; the room the women come and go/ Speaking of Michealangelo. This couplet contrasts with the previous urban landscape and adds anticipation to the ominous tension surrounding the event. This line also is about time. The couplet suggests that Prufrock has been around to see these women come and go, implying Prufrock has been situated in the high societal environment for some time. The line also implies that while others have come and gone from the social circles Prufrock is a part of; Prufrock has stayed stagnating. On the way, Prufrock deliberates on whether he can find value in the cold superficial environment, and ask the overwhelming question, Do I dare/ Disturb the universe?. He feels if he can muster the courage to ask the question, he may at last find value in his life: would it have been worth while/ To have bitten off the matter with a smile,? Maternal Health And Malarial In West Africa
Question: Discuss about the Essay for Maternal Health And Malarial In West Africa? Answer: Introduction The present study will focus on the development process of a proper research paper based on the MATERNAL HEALTH AND MALARIAL IN WEST AFRICA. The people in the Westrern part of the African continent often suffer from various diseases. The pregnant women suffer from life-risking diseases like Malaria, which has a negative impact on the women, as well as their children. Malaria is one of the most devastating infectious diseases that kill around 1 million people annually. Children, pregnant women and immune-compromised individuals have the highest mortality and morbidity rate and Africa bears the highest burden (Balcerzyk, 2013). The pregnant women affected with malaria have more severe outcomes and symptoms and this leads to higher rates of miscarriage, premature delivery, neonatal death, low-birth-weight neonates and intrauterine demise. The pregnant women are also at a high risk for maternal death and severe anemia. However, malaria can be prevented with bed nets treated with insectic ides, effective educational outreach programs and appropriate drugs (Arab, Jackson and Kongoli, 2014). The present investigation process divided into several parts, which includes different kinds of research methodologies, which the analyst used in the current inquiry procedure. It is the outline of the entire investigation process. All the issues in the present investigation paper were based on how maternal health affected by malaria in West Africa. Africa is one of the largest continents, which is affected. The main aim of the current assignment is to focus on the Western part of Africa. Some of the important regions, which comprise the entire West African continent, are Benin, Ghana, Senegal, Liberia and Togo is the major Western African country. Recently there are different kinds of heath issues which majority of the West African country faces (Bank, 2013). In recent time, one of the major issues, which are highlighted in the entire Western African nation, is the increase in the rate of Malaria, which affects maternal health. However, to develop a proper investigation process, the analyst will cover the entire important aspect of this particular study by following accurate research methodologies in order to conclude the best findings (Cline and Luiz, 2013). The government of Western Africa has initiated several strategies to prevent the disease and protect the children and the pregnant women. It is for the development of the African continent. This would further be helpful for the bet terment of the West African nation (Dean et al., 2013). Over the past time, the effect of Malaria is one of the most highlighted issues in the majority of the Western African country. The government of different countries in the West part took various types of initiatives in order to develop a proper health care system across the nation (Fortinash and Holoday-Worret, 2012). Out of all the major issues one of the most common heath issues, which Western Part of Africa's faces, is maternal health and malaria in West Africa. Based on the latest statistical report, malaria is one of the leading causes of death in the majority of developing as well as underdeveloped countries across the world (Fortinash and Holoday-Worret, 2012). The western part of Africa is not as developed as compared to the other parts of Africa. The World Health Organization (WHO) concludes that heath issues such as tuberculosis and malaria affect 3.3 billion people lives in the area under the sub-Saharan country (ISHIKAWA, SASAGURI and HIRAKAWA, 2012). Research Questions 1) How the Western African countries are affected by Malaria? 2) How the maternal health is affected by Malaria? 3) What are the different kinds of initiatives adopted by the government? 4) What are the different kinds of recommendations that can be concluded in the research paper? Background of the study The objective of the research is to reflect what are the major issues faced by Africa in recent time. The investigation procedure will analyze all the critical areas which majority of the West African country faces towards developing a proper health care system (Enato, Sounyo and Madadi, 2012). The research paper consists of different significant segment, which will help the readers to conclude about the particular problems. The rationale of the study is to find the problems related to the impact of malarial causes on pregnant women in Africa and how can they be prevented (Leipert, Leach and Thurston, 2012). It is very important for the investigator to keep in mind the rationale of the research to form a proper research hypothesis. The main causes of the disease are highlighted with supportive theories that will guide all the readers to conclude about the heath positions in the Western part of Africa (Lerner and Lerner, 2015). The significant proportion of this particular investigation procedure is the application of different kinds of research tools respective to the use of the examination work (Dean et al., 2013). Rationale for the study The rationale of the survey will highlight the current issue of the African health sector. There are some questions which majority of the African country in the health sector of the country. Health is the major area of concern for every nation (Fortinash and Holoday-Worret, 2012). It is very important for the government to look into the health factor of the country and take possible steps to eradicate the disease. The issue, which is highlighted in the study, is how malaria affects maternal life in a Western part of Africa. There are some serious questions about the effect of disease in the country. Malaria is extensive and kills one African child in each minute. It is the leading cause of death in the entire West African nations (Arab, Jackson and Kongoli, 2014). There are particular areas in which this particular sector faces different issues. The primary problem is the lack of heath workers in the whole heath areas of the West African Nation. Hospitals and clinics in the entire African Continent find very many difficulties towards recruiting employees in the entire heath sector organization (Enato, Sounyo and Madadi, 2012). The ultimate problem, which is concluded in the whole investigation procedure, is the African Heath sector finds harder to cope with the number of people who are in search of better heath treatment across the country (Arab, Jackson and Kongoli, 2014). The second problem, which can be concluded, is the different implementation kinds of health policies in the rural part of the Western African Nation. The rural part of all the West African Nation faces different types of heath issues and most importantly the Government of different West African nation feels it difficult to develop the situation due to lack of funds (Enato, Sounyo and Madadi, 2012). The present issue, which is highlighted in the study, is how malaria affects the maternal health in the majority of the Western African country. African population are hugely affected by malaria The disease, which is caused by blood parasites of infected mosquitoes, is known as the concept of Malaria. It is one of the most crucial problems in the entire Africa mainly in the western parts of the continent (Likupe and Archibong, 2013). The majority of the underdeveloped countries face different kinds of health issues, and the maximum problems come from malaria (Enato, Sounyo and Madadi, 2012). Based on the latest statistical nearly 88 percent of the child death occurred due to the cause of sickness (Long, 2012). Mother and child are affected due to the cause of Malaria This is one of the most crucial parts of the study. There are different kinds of issues, which maternal patients faces in the Western part of Africa. The objective of this particular investigation procedure is to analyze how significant is the problem is Western part of Africa (Maharaj et al., 2012). There are different kinds of challenges which majority of the African government faces towards solving this particular problem. One of the major drawbacks is a lack of infrastructure which majority of the West African country faces in the development process of a proper health care system (Haerens and Zott, 2013). The development of an appropriate and hygienic healthcare system in the country is the ultimate solution in order to solve this particular problem (Mckenzie, McConkey and Adnams, 2013). Research Hypothesis The present research hypothesis is developed keeping in mind the requirements of the investigation procedure. H0 and H1 are the research hypothesis, which the analyst drawn up to complete the entire inquiry system. The two hypotheses are developed as follows: H1= Malaria affects the maternal life in the Western Africa. H2= Malaria does not affect the maternal life of Western Africa. Literature Review This part of the research paper will analyze all the significant areas, which will conclude with the facts on malaria in Africa. Some of the most important points, which are highlighted in the study, are as follows. African Population is highly affected by Malaria Based on the latest statistical report of the World Health Organization, malaria is life-threatening diseases, which is caused by bites of infected female mosquitoes (MeÃÅ'Ã nard, 2013). Based on the survey nearly half of the population of the entire West African nation is at a risk of Malaria (Fortinash and Holoday-Worret, 2012). The most affected population, which is at a high risk of malaria infection are young children, non-immune travelers from malaria-free areas are particularly vulnerable to disease when they become infected (Minkler, 2012). This particular problem is not restricted only to Africa. In the year 2015, nearly 3.2 billion people, which are half of the worlds population, were affected by malaria infections. The majority of the people who were affected by the malarial infection were at a risk of death in the majority of the sub-Saharan Africa (Monette, 2012). The entire population of the Western part of the continent, which is affected, includes different kinds o f the population such as infants, childrens, maternal patients, immune migrants, mobile population and travelers (Murray, Rosenthal and Pfaller, 2013). Death Burden of Government The government of different African countries mainly in the western part faces the majority of the barriers and challenges in order to apply the best alternative solution to solve this particular problem. Based on the report of the World Health Organization, 210 million cases of malaria which raise the entire death ratio to more than 415 000 death in the overall country (Notaro, 2012). Lack of funds is the biggest problem towards solving this particular challenge (Ochieng et al., 2013). Prevention The concept of prevention is the ultimate solution in order to address this particular problem. The government of different countries adopts various types of prevention measures in order to rectify this particular problem. Maternal life is hugely affected by malaria. Some of the key initiatives which majority of the African country developed are as follows. Insecticide treatment mosquito nets (ITNs): The government of majorities of the countries includes the West African nation, took different kinds initiatives, which includes the concept of the insecticide treatment mosquito nets. It is one of the most cost effective manners to solve this particular problem (Papadakis, McPhee and Rabow, 2013). The arrangement of different kinds of funds is one of the major issues of the majority of the African government. Indoor spraying of various types of insecticides This is various types of initiates, which the Government of different African country adopts to conclude the best way of solving this particular problem (Peterson and Calamandrei, 2012). Different researcher and different medical firm developed different kinds analysis procedure in order to ensure the best application of the various types of insecticides to prevent different types infections (Sherman and Sherman, 2012). Indoor spraying is one of the most effective measures which different government adopts in the overall plans and procedures. In some setting, multiple spray rounds are required in order to protect the population for entire malaria session (Smith, Van Hoving and Wallis, 2013). Diagnosis and treatment Application of modern science towards rectifying malaria in the whole part of the Northern Africa is not up to the mark. Cost and proper implementation of different kinds of medicines are not done based on the requirements of the country (Gupta and Maheshwari, 2013). In the majority of the West African countries, applications of different kinds of modern medical sciences are very much less in this part of the world (Snowden and Bucala, 2014). The government and various types of NGOs need to conclude different kind of plans and strategies, which will help in the development process of a proper health conditions across the entire country (Staines and Krishna, 2012). Effect of Malaria in Maternal Heath Malaria is the most infectious diseases across the world. The objectives of this particular research paper are to analyze what are the different kinds of factors, which affects the maternal health in Africa (Staines and Krishna, 2012). It is a global problem, and it is not restricted only to Africa. It is a serious problem, which hits the majority of the developed and developing the country. If malaria hits any maternal patient who is expecting a baby, it will automatically affect the child. Different kinds of problems will rise in the child if the born baby is affected by malaria (Steketee and Campbell, 2010). The immunity power of the newborn baby will decrease, and the most significant point is the problem will remain in the society (Haerens and Zott, 2013). To develop a healthy nation, the job of the government is to analyze all these factors, which not only affects the maternal life but also decreases the immunity power of the newborn baby. As a result, the child becomes weak an d the most importantly the baby will become weak (Cline and Luiz, 2013). Research Methodologies The entire investigation process is analyzed in a proper manner keeping in mind the requirements of the survey process (Gupta and Maheshwari, 2013). The outline of the investigation procedure which majority of the analyst follows in order to conduct a proper inquiry procedure is known as the notion of the investigative process (Ishikawa, Sasaguri and Hirakawa, 2012). Research methodology is one of the key aspects towards developing a proper investigation procedure (Snowden and Bucala, 2014). There are different kinds of inquiry methods which majority of the investigator follows to conduct a proper research process based on the requirements of the entire inquiry procedure (Fortinash and Holoday -Worret, 2012). There are certain research methods which majority of the investigator follows with a view to conduct a proper investigation procedure. In order to organize a proper investigation procedure on MATERNAL HEALTH AND MALARIAL IN WEST AFRICA, the analyst in this particular investigator system has adopted the accurate research methods in order to complete the entire research process (Smith, Van Hoving and Wallis, 2013). Research design, research approach, and research philosophy are the three kinds of research methodologies, which the analyst has used to develop a proper investigation procedure on health care in Western Africa (Peterson and Calamandrei, 2012). Every investigator irrespective of the nature of the inquiry process tries to adopt the concept of the positivism research philosophy to support the entire investigation system with real facts and findings. It is one of the most common investigation philosophies which bulk of the investigator follows in the operations of the research process. It is a belief, which the analyst develops about the way through which datas are analyzed, gathered, and applied (Leipert, Leach and Thurston, 2012). However, the investigator to conduct a proper investigation procedure in African health care the researcher faced different kinds of challenges whether to choose the inductive method of research approach or deductive method of research approach. The application of both the inductive method of research approach and the use of the deductive method of research approach has different kinds of utilities. The use of the deductive method of analysis is based on the testing existing theories (Ochieng et al., 2013). However, the use of the inductive method of analysis is based on developing different kinds of modern methods, which is done by emerging various types of datas. Based on the requirements of this particular investigation process the analyst has decided to use the concept of the deductive method of inquiry process to support the entire work based on existing theories (Papadakis, McPhee and Rabow, 2013). However, the analyst concluded that adoption of the inductive method of research approach is not suitable for this particular investigation process. With the help of existing data and existing theories, the investigator has decided to adopt the concept of the inductive method of research approach. Finally, the analyst has approved the idea of descriptive research methodology. With the help of the descriptive research method, the investigator can develop an in-depth analysis of the investigation procedure (Notaro, 2012). It will help the researcher to develop a proper inquiry procedure and will support the entire research work current findings (Gupta and Maheshwari, 2013). This part of the whole system will help the analyst to complete the entire research process. Resources and time are the two crucial factors which majority of the investigator follows to conduct an efficient investigation process (Lerner and Lerner, 2015). The most challenging job of the analyst is to complete the research operation with the help of the limited resources and with the help of estimated time. However, this part of the investigation procedure will focus on how the analyst has developed the data collection process (Murray, Rosenthal and Pfaller, 2013). The analyst mainly concentrated in the development process of the secondary mode of data collection. With the help of the secondary mode of data collection, the investigator will be able to support the analysis procedure by consulting with different kinds small journals, articles, statistical report, and official websites (Monette, 2012). All the information, which are provided to support the investigation procedure are ver y much active. There are different kinds of barriers, which the analyst faced in order conduct a primary method of data collection. With the help of the secondary mode of data collection, the investigator has done a remarkable job to support the entire investigation operation (Minkler, 2012). The role of ethical consideration plays a significant part in the development of proper data collection techniques. However, it is more important towards organizing the primary mode of data collection. It is less applicable in the case of the second method of data collection. The investigator has used the concept of the non-probability mode of data sampling procedure (Mckenzie, McConkey and Adnams, 2013). With the application of the non-probability method of data, sampling the researcher can support the collected information in an efficient manner (Maharaj et al. 2012). This part of the investigation process is followed with the help of research strategy. In this process, the research involved is survey strategy. This is conducted with the help of case studies, experiments, theories, and models. In order, the investigator finds a suitable data that would be predicted with the help of timeframe and analytics of research distribution. Comparatively, the investigator finds reliability and validity that would be useful to predict the data. Besides, the investigator has intended benefits that would predict SPSS through data analysis and result conclusively with MS Excel. Since, data analysis would be useful to cite information that is probable on online survey and mobile surveys (Monette, 2012).. Thus, the particular idea should be enhanced particularly to provide a result that is important. In order, surveys would be flexible and administered through email surveys, paper surveys, social media surveys telephone surveys, mobile surveys, and face-to-face s urveys. Research Outcomes The majority of the research outcome is negative in this particular research paper. The investigator has used different kinds of research tools, which concludes with the results of this particular investigation procedure. The western part of Africa is highly affected by various types of malarial infections. The question arises that not only maternal patients are affected; the newborn baby is also affected with malaria. The problem remains the same in the society, and it is not completely cured. The anticipated research findings will conclude what are the different kinds of impacts mainly the negative effect in the society. The majority of the selected countries in the assignment are from the Western part of the African nation. This particular problem is being increased with the progression of time. The government plays faces different kinds of issues and various types of challenges in order to solve this particular challenge. Some of the serious problems which majority of the African nation faces is issues related to funds. Funds are the key factors in order to implement different kinds of government plans and policies, which will rectify the problem of the government. The majority of the underdeveloped countries such as the Western African nations face different kinds of challenges in order to implement all the plans and proceedings to solve this particular problem in the organization. Conclusion The concluding part of the study will summarize all the essential elements of the present investigation procedure. The entire research paper is divided into several parts. The introductory part of the survey will cover all the necessary proceedings of the selected topic. The research hypothesis, which is developed by the investigation, contains all the important factors, which are included in determining how the crucial is this particular problem in entire Africa. By developing a proper inquiry process in the entire research topic, the researcher in the study has done an important job towards the development process of a proper inquiry procedure. The effect of malaria is a crucial problem in the entire Africa including the Western part of the continent. To evaluate this particular statement, the researcher has conducted a significant part towards applying a proper secondary source of data analysis procedure. With the application of an appropriate secondary data analysis process the investigator in the study concluded that malaria affects most of the maternal patients in the country. There are different kinds of peoples which majority of the African government faces is towards the application of the proper health care system. Some of the significant healthcare problem, which is highlighted in the study, is malarial based. The literature review of the assignment concludes about how malaria affects the maternal heat. It is one of the most crucial parts of the entire research paper. However, the role of the government and the role of the NGOs are very much important in the country. It is one of the primary responsibilities of the government to provide a proper healthcare facility to all the people in the country preventing from different kinds diseases. The investigator in the entire proceedings of the research work has supported the investigation procedure with effective research tools. However, the researcher has concluded one of the most useful outcomes of the inquiry procedure. The results of the inquiry procedure conclude how malaria affects the daily proceedings of the people in the Western African country. The most significant and most crucial part of the entire research procedure is how disease has affected the day-to-day operations of the people. Thus, the investigator in the study accepts H1 hypothesis. H1= Malaria affects the maternal life in the Western Africa. Reference List Arab, A., Jackson, M. and Kongoli, C. (2014). Due to these landform types the percentage of farm land is approximately 5.7% of the total amount of land in Ethiopia. The amount of arable land is 10% of the 5.7% total. Ethiopia has an area of 1 221 900 sq. km. Ethiopia does not receive any problems such as volcanism, tidal waves, etc., but it does receive great winds and monsoons. It is located in Eastern Africa neighboured by Sudan (NW), Kenya(S), and Somalia(SE). Elevations can be seen on figure 1, and the physical features of Ethiopia on figure 2. These being the cool or dega zone, consisting of the central parts of the western and eastern sections of the high plateaus and the area around Harar, with terrains roughly above 7 900 ft. in elevation. The second zone is the temperate, or weina dega zone, comprising portions of the high plateau between 4 900 and 7 900 ft.. The final area being the hot or kolla zone, encompassing an area with an altitude less than 5 000 ft. The cool zones temperatures and precipitation can be seen on figure 3. The temperate zones temperatures range from 15.6C to 29.4C. The temperature in the hot zone of the lowlands can reach temperatures as high as 60C. There are two distinct seasons in Ethiopia the rainy season, or kremt, lasting from mid-June to mid-semptember. the other is the Dry season, or bega, lasting from mid-September to mid-June. In April and May there is slight transition period. The greatest amount of precipitation is found in the southwest areas, near gore. They receive approx. 104 in. a year. The littlest amount of precipitation is found in the Great Rift Valley receiving less than 4 inches per year. the average annual precipitation in the central plateau at 48 in. The prevailing winds that strike Ethiopia are the Southwesterly monsoon in the rainy season and the northeasterly wind from the Arabian Desert in the dry season. Ethiopias climatic conditions suffer severe drought jeopardizing millions with starvation. These extreme weather changes create horrible growing seasons, making yields quite unsuccessful. #Vegetation: The percentage of forest land is minimal in Ethiopia, most of the area is grazed dry farmland, and some generally arable land. Near areas where beef cattle are being raised tsete flies can be found in great numbers. They spread a sleeping disease, that in turn wear down farmers, and create less productivity, and more disease than needed. Another insect that causes severe problems are locusts. They are considered the plague of Ethiopia, eating, therefore ruining crops. Due to lack of money Ethiopia does not have sufficient preservation facilities, and much of there food rots and goes to waste. Rodents also get into crops and eat whatever is at hand. Soils: Almost all of Ethiopias soils are made up of infertile red and yellow laterite. Humus and other nutrients are washed out of the soils and into the rivers. Much land is lost from erosion and desertification, from constant over grazing and loss of trees. Wildlife: I couldnt find any information on Ethiopias wildlife, but I would suspect it is minimal. Small amounts of cattle and ox. SOCIAL:Race: Ethiopia is quite unique for the number of races throughout the country. These races are shown on figure 4. Languages: In Ethiopia there are over 70 languages and 200 dialects spoken, but only eight of the languages are commonly used. Amharic is the official language of Ethiopia. Tigrinya and Arabic are the official languages of Eritrea. These are the only three languages with a written script. Due to the number of languages, many Ethiopians are bilingual and even trilingual. How to Write an Outline in APA Format
How to Write an Outline in APA Format How to Write an Outline in APA Format American Psychological Association or APA has published specific requirements and guidelines for writing assignments and papers in social sciences. Apart from guidelines for citations, references and initial pages, there are of course some guidelines for the outlines of papers and assignments. Basic principles and guidelines in American Psychological Association (APA) The basic rules and guidelines in the American Psychological Association (APA) are the following: 12-point Sheriff, Times New Roman or Courier font for all text and a minimum of 8-point font for tables and figures. The text must be double spaced including the quotes and reference list. The page numbers must be located in the upper right corner of the paper. The margins should be set to 1â⬠on each side of the paper. The title of the thesis must be stated on the cover page and after that it should be placed only in the left upper corner of the pages. The American Psychological Association (APA) does not use underlined text. Bolded text can be used only on figures and tables when specific data must be stressed and highlighted. Capitalization is also rarely used. Job titles can be capitalized only if the personââ¬â¢s name follows (for example, it will be the president of the company but in case the last name is given then it will be President Williams). Also, names of models, theories, diseases and conditions are not capitalized. When you list something in APA and if it is within a paragraph, then you must use (a), (b), (c), etc. in that order. If, however, you do not want to use a specific order then you have to use bullet points. Vertical lists are used when you need to express information but in certain order. There is one specific rule when writing numbers in APA style; numbers 10 and higher are written in numbers but numbers from 10 and below are written out. Exception is made for age, time, distance, percentage and various ratios, they are always stated as numerals, unless if they are not located at the beginning of the sentence. Latin abbreviations are also not used; for example: etc., i.e., e.g. and others. The language that is used in American Psychological Association (APA) must be bias-free and respectful. There are also some specific guidelines in American Psychological Association (APA) that show how to write an outline in APA format. How to write an outline in APA format Writing an outline in APA format is all about structuring. Yoko Ono's Relationship with Popular Culture Essay
Yoko Ono's Relationship with Popular Culture - Essay Example The essay "Yoko Ono's relationship with popular culture" investigates the great talent of the famous artist and her role in the context of culture. Paper gives details from her life and activity. It is almost fifty years ago, when people started thinking of Yoko Ono as that woman. She was aged 27 years and lived in New York. Paper discover Yoko Ono's background that partly explains radical works and performances. The performances include ''Cut Piece'' that she did in 1965. It is here that she sat impassively like Bodhisattva, while the audience slowly one by one cut off her clothes. This was an amazing feminist manifesto as by then most people did not know what feminism was. It was about exhibitionism and sex. Similar to her other works she did, it rebuffed parentââ¬â¢s mores in a great way. But in the performance, of importance was the element of ritual violence. This was not like seppuku but a theatrical version of self-sacrifice. This was a recurrent theme around Yoko Ono's pub lic life. Yoko Ono can be considered as a muse. This does not only apply to John Lennon whose devotion and love for her resulted in the most interesting and beautiful artworks of his career. She was a pioneering artist, activist, musician, and feminist. Yoko Ono has influenced to a great extent those artists who are daring enough in pushing at and experimenting the imaginary distinctions and boundaries between media and art forms. Her talent was formidable but the prominent quality in her painting works was her spirit.
